About Swamini Agamananda

Swamini Agamananda was first exposed to Vedanta in Pujya Swami Dayanandaji’s public talks in 1978 at the University of Toronto, where she worked as a research technician in Molecular Biology.

The following year, she joined Pujya Swamiji’s 2½ year Vedanta course in Piercy, California. On completion of the course, she returned to her job in Toronto, established Arsha Vidya Ontario under the guidance of Pujya Swamiji, and taught under its auspices for four years.

In 1986 she went to Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania to serve Pujya Swamiji in establishing Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. During this period she helped with editing of Pujya Swamiji’s works, administration, and also undertook academic study of Sanskrit and śāstra.

From 2006-2010 she lived in various places, continuing the editing work and teaching part-time in the academy.

In 2010, she joined the three-year course in Anaikatti, where she helped with administration, editing of Swamiji’s publications, and teaching of Sanskrit.
